Deliberately. It means we can remediate what we assessed and then stay on to run it, which an assessor is constrained from doing.
We stay after go-live
A report starts aging the day it is delivered. Somebody has to own the posture afterward or it decays quietly.
We take the small ones
One-person shops and thirty-person machine shops, the suppliers large consultancies price out. They carry the same obligations.

In practice that is a fractional CISO, CMMC Level 2 program leadership from first assessment to your assessment, System Security Plans, policy and POA&M development, CUI enclave design on GCC High and Azure Virtual Desktop, and supply chain risk management for primes. A written policy that says passwords are strong is not the same as passwords that are strong, and the difference only shows up when somebody tests it. That gap, between the control as written and the control as it behaves, is what an assessment is for.
